| The Chairperson of the Statistics Council, Howard Gabriels, the Statistician-General, Pali Lehohla, the Deputy Director-General: Population and Social Statistics, Ms Kefiloe Masiteng, and other staff members proceeded to Lorato Primary School at Hebron in North West, for the second celebration.
The Principal, Mrs Lebethe, appreciated efforts by Stats SA that encourage the development and upliftment of schools in rural areas. These schools are quite often neglected or ignored by institutions and therefore remain trapped in a vicious cycle of lack of resources and information.
